Farmer Boy by Laura Ingalls Wilder
Plot Profiles
Read 2-3 chapters at a time and write a plot profile for a problem in the story.


Commutative property of addition
Introduce basics of Alegebra


Create an animal population space outside by laying down a piece of cardboard on the ground.
Research Butterflies and Moths
Discuss types of insects that live inside homes
At the end of the week look under the cardboard and record the insects found underneath.


Social Studies

Classify the American colonies by region
Create a chart – New England Colonies, Middle Colonies, Southern Colonies
Research and collect photos and graphs
Write a summary about each colony
Bind all the information together in a book
